Experience Through Their Eyes

We drove up to Central City from Colorado Springs and stopped here for lunch. Cajun/Creole egg rolls initially sounded strange, but they were delicious!!!! We got a Andoullie sausage roll, a Muffulleta roll, a Gouda grits roll, a Voodoo roll, and a bowl of red beans and rice with blackened shrimp. Absolutely delicious! It reminded us of trips to New Orleans from years back. She threw in a cup of Swamp Soup which we we definitely be ordering next time we drop by. We are very glad to have skipped the casino restaurants, very highly recommended.

Little bit of louisiana in the mountains! This is a gem! Seriously the sweetest woman runs this beautiful restaurant. The decor made me feel like i was back in the french quarter. Wonderful section for a menu! We got two rolls the gyro and the andouille sausage and the hush puppies. When I tell you I couldn't pick a favorite between the two because both were incredible. This is now an absolute must stop when we come to Blackhawk! Thank you so much for the amazing food and wonderful memories here.

We really like the place.. Great food, great atmosphere and good people (and its not inside a casino) We went for the special which was a cordon blue! She took so good care of us and was fun. The beignets were soooon good! Never go here without ordering them, they were so good we only managed a "after" picture.

Small gem of a restaurant. The rolls are absolutely delicious. The dips were amazing paired with it, especially the jelly one! Jambalaya is good too, although the soupy kind, and the beignets are the perfect kind of fluffy, albeit a bit pricey for the 4 or 5 you get. Don't eat at the casinos, eat here! You won't regret it. Speaking as someone who just had the mediocre buffet last night.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Martina knows flavor! Everything we had was delicious! The red beans and rice was incredible, the fired okra took me back to my childhood, the grits were smooth and creamy just how they should be, and the beignets were absolutely mouth watering. The cherry on top for me was the sweet tea. Hands down the best brewed in all of Colorado. Martina has mastered the taste of the south. Looking forward to our next visit!

What an amazing place to find! The food is a unique spin on Cajun food and egg role style bites. Definitely worth a visit if you're visiting or driving through.
